Pinot Noir
Wine
Moss Wood Pinot Noir is handpicked from the estate vineyard at Wilyabrup, home to some of the oldest Pinot Noir vines in Margaret River.
The grapes are destemmed into small open fermenters, where they are soaked and chilled. Fermentation is with multiple yeast strains and hand plunging thrice daily to extract colour and flavour from the skins.
The wine is pressed to tank for malolactic fermentation, then transferred to French oak to age for 18 months. After maturation it is racked to stainless steel and blended before filtration and bottling.
Deep ruby, Moss Wood Pinot Noir has bright fruit flavours, firm tannins and a long finish. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
